Eli Curtsinger is an artist residing in Las Vegas, Nevada by way of Yakima, Washington. He is often playing, writing, and touring with his band, Indigo Kidd. Indigo Kidd has opened and played with the likes of Dave Keuning of The Killers, L.A. Witch, Tacocat, Chastity Belt, LVL UP, Starcrawler, and many others.
Eli’s main influences include Liz Powell from Land of Talk, Dinosaur Jr., The Misfits, The Killers, and Roy Orbison. His croon is often raw and equates to a Danzig-esque bark by its imperfect and confrontational nature. The subject matter of his work is generally earnest and cynical. He manages to make his songs fairly upbeat and catchy while still expressing very dark and nihilistic ideas often found in post-punk music. Blending these styles together and branding it ‘Party Goth’, he hopes that it will catch on.
His band, Indigo Kidd, currently sits on one full length release titled, Sad Daze in Happy Valley, with a handful of singles to be released this year that were recorded at Sonic Ranch near El Paso, Texas. Recording at a place where artists such as Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bon Iver, Grouplove, and Gerard Way have recorded proved to be a very empowering experience for the group. They are very excited to release the new material they accumulated from their trip. Look for new Indigo Kidd releases on a Spotify near you!
